Meet the Team

Niko has been involved in real estate transactions, as well as banking in the US since 1998, having completed various transactions in Illinois, Florida, and Nevada. He holds an MBA in Finance, and a Meng from University of Alberta, Canada, 1997. He moved to Chicago from Edmonton in 1997 and started working as an acquisition officer for American Invsco, a condominium conversion company. From there, he worked at HFR, a hedge fund consulting firm and then funded his own debt placement company, Chicago Advisors.

Subsequently he was hired by a subsidiary of DRW and became CFO of  DRW’s real estate company L3 development (2005-2007). In 2007 he returned to Chicago and worked for Hermes Capital, a family-owned private lender. The owners of Hermes capital also owned Broadway Bank, a $1 Billion community bank. Once the financial crisis of 2009 became evident, Niko left Hermes and headed the workout desk of Broadway Bank. At Broadway Niko was responsible for a portfolio of NPL’s worth over $500 Million, spanning across 5 states, Illinois, Florida, New York and California, and consisting of multifamily, commercial and condo development deals. After Broadway Banks’ acquisition by MB, Niko started his own firm again, NR-Advisors, and placed approximately $120,000,000 of ex Broadway customers' debt with various lenders. During that debt placement period, he formed a private lending partnership with Kevin Screpnechuk of Screpco and funded approximately $25,000,000 of non-bankable debt. In 2018, Niko acquired his second property in Hyde Park, with a loan from Screpco, opening up a new line of business

focusing on redevelopment of existing properties in the Hyde Park area and establishing Estia Properties, (estia.properties). Estia now has 7 stabilized buildings, 1 property under development for a total of 45 residential units, and 5 commercial generating more than $150,000 of monthly rent roll. Niko is married to Dr. Niki Christopoulos and has a 5-year-old son and a 25-year-old daughter.

Pete, a Chicagoland native and real estate professional for over 25 years, is a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker and Mortgage Loan Originator. Over his career he has taken part in excess of $250 million of real estate related transactions. In addition, Pete currently manages 41 units in a personal rental property portfolio valued at approximately $6 million. Combining his real estate and mortgage knowledge, Pete uses a comprehensive approach consisting of exceptional customer service, market insight, excellent negotiation skills and innovative marketing strategies to bring unparalleled value to his clients. He has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate including; multifamily property management, brokerage, leasing, construction management and financing real estate transactions. Fluent in Polish, Pete enjoys water sports,

snow skiing and traveling with his family in his spare time.

Trif holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the American College of Greece. He is currently in charge of operations, tenant relations, management, along with leasing and maintenance at Estia properties. Trif is a firm believer of interpersonal communication and knows each tenant personally. He takes great pride in his hands-on approach, which helps problem solve any issues that arise at the properties. Trif’s leasing abilities and management have proven effective in maintaining high occupancy rates. His military background has offered him the tools needed to manage a diverse spectrum of responsibilities. Trif’s

responsibilities include the residential portfolio, consisting of over 100 residential tenants and the Chicago commercial properties. Trif is fluent in Greek and when he is not working you can find him traveling and spending time with his family.
